District Cooling (A&A)

"Many Singaporeans might not know that the World’s largest district cooling plant, is located right beneath their footsteps, literally. Located 25 meters underground, Singapore’s District Cooling plant produces over 600 tons of chilled water per hour to 14 customers in the Singapore’s CBD, including Marina Bay Sands, the Marina Bay Financial Centre and One Raffles Quay.

This serves as an energy-efficient and cost-effective method to provide buildings in the area with an optimal indoor climate. Usage of a district cooling facility; as opposed to having to build and install their own plant rooms and cooling towers, increases energy efficiency by about 30%!"
